After lots of voting our Lotte from the boutique has made it to the top 10 of the Curvy Kate ‘Star in a Bra’ competition.
About the competition Lotte says “it would mean everything to win, because positive body image and getting the point across that you don’t have to be a certain size to be healthy and look good are key messages”

The weather was cold but the rain and snow held off whilst the four rugby teams “Essex Firefighters, Matts Misfits, The Comrades and Colchester Cavaliers” all played in aid of charity. All came very close but the true winners this year were the Comrades.
The day’s activities and the evening auction raised in total over £7000 in aid of Cancer Research, Little Havens and Starlight charities.
Our Lotte has made in into the top 30 with a chance to win a modelling contract for the brand for a year. Lotte started at the boutique in 2012 shortly after its opening. Being a fuller cup herself she was introduced to Curvy Kate and is a real ambassador in promoting the brand that caters from a D-K cup.
Lotte says “In my ideal world, bouncy boobs, juicy bottoms and wobbly bits would be shown in the media, so that young girls could grow up to understand what is healthy and to admire how real women look. I really believe I would be the perfect ambassador for Curvy Kate as I myself am curvy, confident and passionate about making a difference. I cannot think of anything more rewarding than another women seeing my photo, putting away the diet book, buying a gorgeous set of lingerie and feeling inspired to stay true to who they are”

Owning a glamorous lingerie shop means that she dedicates most of her time making women feel hot and sexy while helping to turn up the heat in their relationships. However today the tables were turned and she spent the day getting hot under the collar, trying to put out a 400 degree fire in aid of charity alongside the Essex Fire fighters.
Lights, camera, action…it was all about glamour and gorgeous ladies wear as Boutique 65 literally revealed some of the stock it will be offering at its Crouch Street home. Guests were treated to champagne on arrival and music by Groovetails with eats provided by the restaurant, however all tables were removed from the venue to allow for the large number of guests and the fashion show which showcased some of the top designers in lingeries from around the UK and europe.

The day’s activities and the evening auction raised in total over £4000 in aid of Cancer Research and Little Havens charity with one very lucky bidder winning £100 worth of vouchers to spend at the Boutique.

WOW… the hottest new lingerie, nightwear and swimwear Boutique has opened here in Colchester! So the UK’s oldest recorded town now has the UK’s newest brand in the fast moving and fast growing fashion sector. Lingerie is widely recognised as the UK’s most exciting and fastest growing area of the fashion business with people like TV’s Dragon Theo Paphitas investing heavily in the industry.
Boutique 65’s Managing Director Michelle believes that Colchester was prime for the launch of her brand and as she’s a local lass herself so it all made sense… I’ve always felt there was a great opportunity to open a quality Boutique which offers an exciting and diverse portfolio of lingerie and related wear but which majors on a personal and individual service Michelle said when writing for an International business magazine.
Michelle’s vision shines through at the Crouch Street location, which is decorated in sumptuous fabrics in purples, pinks, greys and blacks. Go visit the Boutique soon x.
